I’m Kevin Clark, founder of Clark TechMate. I retired after 20 years in the U.S. Army, where I spent much of my career in the IT field — not only supporting systems, but leading teams and ensuring technology worked when it mattered most.
That experience shaped how I approach every job today: plan ahead, communicate clearly, and build solutions that hold up in the real world — not quick fixes that create new problems later.
Why “TechMate” (and the chess piece)
The name TechMate is about having a trusted teammate for your technology — someone on your side. Not just a person you call when something breaks, but a partner who helps you make smart decisions and avoid issues before they cost you time, money, or peace of mind.
The chess piece represents strategy and thinking a few moves ahead. It’s a nod to “checkmate,” but TechMate isn’t playing against you — it’s playing with you.
